Labor Day Weekend. For some it’s the “last hurrah” of summer. For others it’s a day off of work. Kids see this as their last weekend of freedom before school and some see it as the last time they can wear white before next summer. No matter what Labor Day means to you, it means just one thing for your furnace. It’s furnace inspection time.
Though fall hasn’t officially begun yet, now is a great time to begin thinking about maintenance on your furnace. That way any problem your furnace may have can be addressed prior to the return of chilly temperatures. One of the best things that you can do for your furnace is to have it inspected annually. Some of the things a furnace inspection includes are:
- Cleaning the Motor and Fan.
- Checking the blower.
- Changing the filter: this step is very important for the efficiency of your furnace and for the purity of your home’s air.
- Inspecting the heat exchanger for cracks: a cracked heat exchanger can cause major issues such as carbon monoxide leaks, which could put your entire family in danger.
Now that you have had your Labor Day Weekend fun, and hopefully everything is organized for “back to school,” you can turn your attention to your furnace. For more information, contact Santa Fe Air!
