Duane and Cris donate their time, talents, and resources to nationally known organizations and individual families in need. It is very important to us to show our support to the community that has supported us since 1987!

Meals on Wheels

Cris delivers meals for the Johnson County Meals on Wheels program every week. It is such a rewarding use of time. Quite frequently, the volunteer for this program is the only person that the recipients will see during the day, and you can’t imagine the impact that one smile and human interaction can make on someone’s life that can’t get out on their own anymore.

Rotary Club

Duane is an active member in the Gardner Rotary Club. This organization provides humanitarian services and promotes goodwill throughout the local community and worldwide. The Rotary’s best known motto is “Service above Self”.

Heart of America Humane Society

Santa Fe has always been a supporter of humane societies around Kansas City. Our most recent fund raiser for the Heart of America Humane Society resulted in a donation of $2250 for the group! All of the team members at Santa Fe love animals, in fact; it is part of our hiring process. We have found over the years that people that are compassionate towards animals are naturals when providing conscientious service.

COPP

Care of Poor People is another organization that we support on a regular basis with our time and donations. COPP helps the homeless of Kansas City. They provide clothing, personal care products, and contact information. Richard Tripp has tirelessly run this operation for 30 years. Richard was once homeless and now dedicates his life to help others in need. They have two major events to provide those in need with seasonal products. Survival, takes place in November and the Spring Break, takes place in April. The event locations vary as the sites, huge potluck dinner and live music are all donated.

Habitat for Humanity

Over the years we have provided labor and materials for Habitat for Humanity, sponsored countless youth sporting events, provided holiday meals and gifts for families in need, donated money to help victims of horrible accidents, and support the families of those who are serving our country overseas. We have donated our used vehicles to families in need of transportation and to organizations that will donate the proceeds of the sale to a charity of your choice. We have found that whatever we are able to give in time and goods has always been returned to us in the most rewarding of ways, and highly recommend volunteering to everyone!
