Santa Fe Air has come a long way since its inception, and still holds the same family values and principles instilled in Duane and Cris Wood when they were young.

Where We Started

It all started when Duane found an interest in taking his toys apart as a toddler just to see how they worked. He has disassembled almost everything he has touched since. Fortunately, he is able to put everything back together now, and performance modifications are almost always guaranteed! Thus, when he decided to pursue a career in air conditioning and refrigeration service, it seemed like a natural fit.

In 1987, after working for many years in residential and industrial markets, Duane was able to convince his wife Cris that he should quit his current job, and together, start their own full- service HVAC Company. Soon thereafter, viola! Santa Fe Air Conditioning was born.

The couple operated the business out of their kitchen for the first year. Duane worked full time in business development while Cris continued to work as a mortgage banker, so they could pay their bills. Just before their second anniversary, the young business owners purchased a storefront building in beautiful downtown Gardner, and Cris quit her job and joined the business full time.

The rest, as they say, is history!

Where We Are Today

Santa Fe Air Conditioning is one of the few original owner-operated HVAC companies in existence today. Duane and Cris continue to be very active in the day-to-day operations, and to this day still sincerely enjoy the personal interactions they have every day with their loyal clients.
